VIDEO: Disney Imagineers Take Us Behind-the-Scenes of the Guardians of the Galaxy Ride

We’re getting closer and closer to the opening of EPCOT’s new indoor ride, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!

Disney has been posting lots of updates on the construction progress, including a look at the queue and the gift shop, and today they posted another special look in honor of Women’s History Month and the Imagineers on the team.

Disney has been celebrating Women’s History Month throughout March with special treats, entertainment, and more in Disney World, and on the last day of March, it’s time to celebrate the team of female Imagineers behind the construction of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Disney Parks posted a TikTok featuring five women Imagineers who have worked on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in a variety of roles, and they talk about the empowerment behind working with a team of women and how they now “sit on the shoulders of many other women that have come through Imagineering before [us].” Check out the video below for some special looks at Cosmic Rewind!

If you’re interested in learning more about female Imagineers, not long ago Disney released the new book Women of Walt Disney Imagineering: 12 Women Reflect on Their Trailblazing Theme Park Careers, which includes details and experiences of women Imagineers who wrote their own stories from “decades designing and building the Disney world-wide empire of theme parks.”
