VIDEO: Why Splash Mountain STILL Hasn’t Opened Today in Disney World

It seems like Splash Mountain in Disney World can’t quite catch a break lately, doesn’t it?

After undergoing a months-long closure for refurbishment, and an evacuation earlier this month, guests visiting the Magic Kingdom today once again won’t be able to visit the popular attraction.

Splash Mountain is currently listed as “Temporarily Closed” in My Disney Experience, and hasn’t opened so far today. Last night, we rode Splash Mountain prior to the park closing, and noticed it was experiencing some technical difficulties when we got stopped mid-ride.

Walking by Splash Mountain this morning, we noticed Cast Members were stationed outside of the attraction to alert guests of its closure, as the attraction did not open with the rest of the Magic Kingdom today. While it was first shared as a delayed opening, soon after Cast Members were stating there were technical difficulties that were causing its closure.
