PHOTOS: The EPCOT Experience Has Permanently CLOSED in Disney World

EPCOT has been in a state of transformation for a few years now, with some BIG changes in store.

It’s coming along!

While the new ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has already opened, we’re still eagerly awaiting the opening day of the new indoor roller coaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. And it’s not just rides! A new restaurant is opening soon, and we’re excited to see how the Moana: Journey of Water attraction turns out too. But as we wait for EPCOT’s transformation to progress, one attraction is closing forever.

The EPCOT Experience opened in 2019, and it was a fun way to get a glimpse of EPCOT projects either from the past or coming soon in the future. We learned last week that this exhibit would be closing permanently as of March 14th, 2022, and today the building is officially closed.

The EPCOT Experience

Before closing, it was reported that over 2 million guests visited the EPCOT Experience, and it included a 360-degree presentation of projects like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and more.

When the EPCOT Experience was still open, here’s what the sign looked like outside.

As of today, the sign is now completely blank.

The Odyssey pavilion building is also no longer accessible, which includes the seating areas that were near the EPCOT Experience.

The building is closed

According to Imagineer Zach Riddley, this closure will “make way for exciting new activations of the Odyssey pavilion to create a great experience for our guests.” We’ll be watching this building closely for any changes, so stay tuned to AllEars for more updates on the EPCOT transformation!
