In early 2020, Disney CEO Bob Iger stepped down, to be replaced by a new CEO, Bob Chapek. Iger remained as the executive chairman of the board of directors until last year, but when his contract expired, he moved on to other adventures. And now, Iger has taken on a new job!

According to the Wall Street Journal, Bob Iger is now on the board of directors for the Los Angeles-based tech company Genies Inc. He’s also an investor of the company.

Genies was founded in 2017 and has raised $100 million in funding and now employs more than 100 people. The company “offers tools for making virtual characters, clothing, and accessories backed by nonfungible tokens.” Bob Iger was first attracted to Genies because he believes the ability for anyone to easily create and sell virtual goods will change the entertainment industry in the future.
