There are two words that can strike fear into even the bravest Disney fan: price increase. We don’t know many people who enjoy paying more — especially in Disney World. Unfortunately, we’ve been noticing price increases a lot lately in the parks and resorts, and now that a new EPCOT festival is coming soon, we’ve been keeping our eyes out for changes.
The annual Flower and Garden Festival will begin on March 2nd, 2022. Before we visit the World Showcase to try all the new treats and drinks, we’ve noticed some changes that we need to discuss.
In February, Disney started installing its Flower and Garden Festival food booths around the World Showcase. During the installation, we spotted some menu signs with new (higher) prices on several returning offerings.
Turns out that you’ll be paying more for something else, too! Disney’s Spike Pollen-Nation Exploration scavenger hunt is listed on the Disney World website with a higher price.
In 2021, the scavenger hunt was $7.99. This year, the scavenger hunt is $9.99, which is the same price as the Festival of the Arts scavenger hunt we saw earlier this year.
After completing the scavenger hunt, guests received a cute little plate as their prize last year. Now that the scavenger hunt costs a little extra, we’ll have to wait and see if the prizes change this year!
In the past, Disney’s festival scavenger hunts have been pretty popular. We’re excited to see all the new activities and treats coming to the Flower and Garden Festival, so stay tuned for our live coverage of the event!
