An Unexpected Disney Princess Was Meeting in Magic Kingdom Today!

If you’re a Disney Princess fan, there are some big things that you should check out in Disney World!

You’ll find a variety of Disney’s leading ladies in the Royal Princess Processional in Magic Kingdom, but you can get up close and interact with a select few of them at Princess Fairytale Hall. And today, we got a special surprise!

When we walked by this morning, we noticed that the side of the hall that’s usually home to Tiana and Rapunzel had a change of signage today. Out front, it was listed as Rapunzel and a “visiting princess.”

We’re curious, so we had to go inside and check it out! During our first trip inside, we encountered Rapunzel and Tiana, as usual. That wasn’t really the surprise we were expecting, but it’s always lovely to see these ladies and chat with them for a bit!

But we were still curious (and we love visiting the princesses!) so we decided to check it again a second time. Later in the day, we came back to see if anything had changed.

Lo and behold, we ran into Jasmine this time! Rapunzel was still here greeting guests, but Tiana must’ve had some plans this afternoon (probably making gumbo for all of her friends for lunch!). Thankfully, Jasmine graciously agreed to step in and meet the royal subjects for a little while.

It’s not often that we get one-on-one time with Jasmine these days (she used to meet in Adventureland), so this was an exciting surprise! Next time you’re in the park and the sign says “visiting princess,” make sure to check and so who’s stopping by — you never know who you might meet.

Keep in mind that right now, these aren’t traditional character meet and greets, they’re “character sightings.” For the time being, guests are required to wear masks and stay distanced from the characters. Hugs and autographs haven’t returned yet.

Basically, this means that you could’ve met FIVE different Disney Princesses in the park today, even though there are typically just four! At various times throughout the day, you could find Cinderella, Rapunzel, Elena, Tiana, AND Jasmine. What a treat!
