Since Disney World reopened this past July, a series of character cavalcades have offered guests modified entertainment options at each of the four parks. In Magic Kingdom, you can wave to your favorite Disney Princess from a distance in the Royal Princess Processional.
This week, however, there was a very noticeable change made to the cavalcade, and it looked pretty different than what we’ve been used to seeing!
The large castle-like float that the princesses have ridden on for the past several months has vanished! While we were watching the cavalcade today, we spotted the princesses traveling by foot! The gazebo float, where you can spot Tiana and Rapunzel, still seems to be functional.
The princesses were all getting their royal steps in as they greeted guests along the cavalcade route. It looks like Elsa isn’t the only Disney royalty forced to travel by foot these days!
We checked up on the cavalcade later in the day and sure enough, the princesses were still walking!
The princesses can be seeing parading single file through Frontierland, with no giant float in sight!
The gazebo float is still a part of the cavalcade like it was this morning!
We grabbed a video of the cavalcade as well so you can take a look at what it’s like without a float!

If you were in adventureland you would’ve seen no social distancing. People were standing close together, sitting close together just like a parade.
