If you’ve ever stayed at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you know that they’re so much more than a place to stay!

These resorts have tons of activities, great pools, and spectacularly themed lobbies. Besides that, they’re full of hidden secrets and details that are easy to miss! Today, we’re taking you into the best little-known spots around the Disney resorts!
Carolwood Pacific Room at Wilderness Lodge
It’s a well-known fact among Disney fans that Walt Disney loved trains. And at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, you can find the Carolwood Pacific Room, dedicated to Walt’s hobby!

The cozy room is full of great features and memorabilia, including a few model trains. The plaques give more details about the 1/8 scale steam engine that Walt owned, named the Carolwood Pacific.

If you have some extra time in your day, have a love of trains, or just want to learn more about Walt Disney, you should definitely make a stop by this room!

Voyageurs’ Lounge at Disney’s Riviera Resort
If you’re staying at the Riviera Resort and looking for a lovely place to relax, then let us introduce you to the Voyageurs’ Lounge!

This little room is tucked away next to the coffee shop, Le Petit Cafe, and it’s the perfect place to sit and relax while enjoying your beverage. We could spend all afternoon here just reading a book or chatting with a friend!

And while you’re in there, make sure to check out the memorabilia on display around the room — you may just find something really interesting!
Art on Display in the Jambo House Lobby
Guests staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge — Jambo House are greeted by such a spectacularly decorated lobby that they may be overwhelmed and not even notice the amazing items on display! If you get a moment, stop and look around at all the artifacts on display.

You’ll spot tons of items from various African cultures, including jewelry, artwork, and so much more. We could spend half a day just reading the plaques and learning all the details about these interesting pieces!
The Crescent Solarium at Beach Club
Disney World is full of great places to stop and unwind, but one near the top of our list has to be the Crescent Solarium at the Beach Club Resort. Here, you’ll find multiple tables, couches, and cushy chairs, perfect for lounging.

Grab a table by the window for a lovely view or sprawl out on a couch for something cozier. Whether you’re here alone or with family and friends, this might be a great spot to spend part of your “resort day!”
Trader Sam’s at the Polynesian Resort
Did you really stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort if you didn’t check out Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto? While not open right now, this tucked-away bar is hidden behind an inconspicuous door, but there’s so much inside to see.

Besides unique drink options, this spot is full of ridiculous antics and so many fun artifacts. The bar isn’t too big, so there’s a limited number of people allowed inside, but that just makes it more exclusive and cool!
