The 4 Loudest Hotel Rooms in Disney World

If you’re going to stay in a Disney World hotel, you don’t want to pick the WRONG room.

Disney’s BoardWalk

There are literally thousands of rooms to choose from, and some of them are much louder than others. That can be a serious problem if you’re someone who likes to go to bed early or take midday naps. So today, we’re sharing the list of the loudest hotel rooms in Disney World, just to warn you!

All-Star Resorts

We’ve got to start things out with the All-Star Resorts. All three of these resorts (Music, Movies, and Sports) have motel-style rooms with exterior entry doors and breezeways instead of interior halls. However, the main problem here is that this resort is often chosen for youth groups like sports teams, school trips, cheerleading squads, and dance teams.

All-Star Sports

Sometimes, those groups will be out in the common areas between buildings at night, practicing routines or games. It’s also fairly challenging to escape the noise from the main areas and the pool, since many of the rooms face pools or parking lots.

We’ve also heard complaints of these rooms having thinner walls and, therefore, more noise pollution from your next-door neighbors. The good news? These are Disney World’s most affordable accommodations — that’s usually their drawing point.

Pop Century Resort

Another Value Resort that can be rather noisy is Pop Century Resort. This one is similar in its setup to the All-Stars, with exterior rooms, thin walls, and echoey common areas between buildings. It can also have some extra noise due to the Skyliner Station between it and Art of Animation.

However, this hotel has arguably more “pros” going for it than the All-Stars. The Skyliner transportation to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT is a big one, plus the fact that this hotel tends to be less of a target for youth groups. It’s also affordably priced, and we love the fun “through the decades” theming.

Contemporary Resort

Skipping over to the Deluxe Resorts, one that gets a lot of noise complaints is the Contemporary Resort, particularly the tower rooms. These rooms are interior, but have open hallways that face a large atrium. In the atrium are several restaurants (like the rather rowdy Chef Mickey’s) as well as a monorail station.

Contemporary Resort monorail

The good news here is that you’re walking distance from Magic Kingdom, plus you have access to the Monorail. The resort is home to some really stellar dining options, and the rooms have a fun Incredibles theme. Unfortunately, you’ll be paying a pretty penny to stay here.

BoardWalk Inn

Last on this list, we have the BoardWalk Inn, which has many rooms with balconies and windows facing Disney’s BoardWalk, a home of a plethora of shopping, dining, and nightlife options. It can get particularly noisy over here after dark. And even among the rooms that don’t face toward the activities, some face the pools.

But here, the things that create the most noise can also be the biggest benefits to staying at the BoardWalk. You’ll get several delicious restaurants nearby as well as some fun entertainment in the evenings. This resort is lively and fun, and if that’s your personality, you’ll probably love it!

Keep these rooms in mind when you’re booking your next hotel stay. If you want to avoid the noise, you might want to choose somewhere else!
