Spring break has now come for most, and with it brought some pretty high wait times to Disney World.

Some of the high-clocking rides weren’t much of a shock, but there were a few contenders for the longest wait that might surprise you!
First off, we’re starting in Magic Kingdom. There are several popular rides here that can get pretty high in wait times, such as Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Big Thunder Mountain.

But, none of these could compete with the two rides that consistently held the longest wait for March: Splash Mountain, with an average wait time of 57 minutes, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, with an average wait of 58 minutes. The rides are both pretty popular and known to have a longer line, so no shockers here.

Next, over in Hollywood Studios, wait times were pretty high all around. In March, basically, every ride had an average wait of at least 30 minutes, if not longer. The two rides competing for the longest wait were neck and neck, but ultimately one prevailed…barely.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror had an average wait time of 63 minutes in March, just narrowly beaten out by its Toy Story Land rival: Slinky Dog Dash, which had an average wait of 64 minutes.

Unlike the other parks, EPCOT’s wait times weren’t quite as crazy, and even as parks reached capacity, you wouldn’t have really known it! EPCOT’s three heavy hitters saw times rise as the month went on. though most of the other attractions hovered around (or stayed under) the 30-minute mark.

Test Track came out on top as the highest average wait time of 51 minutes, with Soarin’ in second place with 44 minutes, and Frozen Ever After in a close third at 39 minutes. It definitely seems like people were taking a spin on one of their favorite rides before grabbing some bites to eat at the Flower and Garden Festival.Â

Animal Kingdom is our last stop on our wait time journey, and this one might be the strangest one for us. Like we saw in some of the other parks, most of the rides hovered around an average of a lower 30 minutes or less, though Dinosaur began to creep up closer to 45 minutes towards the end of March. However, no other ride came close to the rides taking the top spot for longest waits.

Apparently, everyone in Animal Kingdom in March was heading to Pandora! That’s right, both Avatar rides are at the top of the list for the longest wait. In March, Na’vi River Journey averaged a 63-minute wait, while Avatar Flight of Passage clocked in with an average wait of 62 minutes.

We weren’t expecting this, but the slow-moving boat ride of Na’vi River Journey to top out as one of longest waits in all of Disney World this month, tied with the thriller Tower of Terror, and just narrowly losing out to the ultimate champ: Toy Story Land Coaster, Slinky Dog Dash.
We’re hopeful that the spring break crowds have died down, and we will soon start seeing those wait times go back down again. We’ll keep you posted on what we’re seeing with April’s wait times soon!
