We Found Sushi Cats in Disney World! (Yep, You Read That Correctly.)

Throughout our time as Disney fans, we’ve seen some pretty weird merchandise.

We’re talking hairbrushes that look like sporks and talking decapitated superheroes, plus tons of strange stuff when the parks reopened. Yesterday, we spotted something in EPCOT that we’d never noticed before, and it was so weird that we just HAD to tell you about it.

If you’ve spent a significant amount of time wandering around EPCOT’s World Showcase, then you know that the Japan Pavilion has an amazing gift shop called Mitsukoshi. Here, it’s pretty easy to find unusual things, but today we spotted the king of all of them…Sushi Cat.

These strange little keychains have turned kitties into sushi and we don’t know if they’re cute or terribly morbid. When you buy a box for $9.95, you could end up with one of four keychain options, each given its own super random name.

Of course, we absolutely HAD to buy one. We’re really hoping for Lonely Jimmy, so fingers crossed!

Honestly, 50% of the fun is reading the stuff on the box. It’s filled with beautiful nuggets of wisdom!

So, we didn’t get Lonely Jimmy, we were instead blessed with the presence of Geronimo. We’re not sure how to feel about him…

…are those shuttlecocks on his head? Like, that you play badminton with?!

Nevertheless, he’ll be going with us all over Disney World now — safely attached to our keys. If you like the idea of a funky keychain, there are some other options here as well!

For those who aren’t sushi fans, there’s a series called “Cafe du Meow” where you can get cats with various coffee shop-style foods.

Cats in your coffee and as the fillings of macarons look a lot cuter on a keychain than we think it would be in real life. If we ordered this at a cafe, we probably wouldn’t dine there again.

They also have figures and keychains for dog-lovers too! You can get dogs in a wall…

…or you can get a series with pups on skateboards. These guys are TOO cute!
