Starting October 1st, 2021, guests will be able to experience all the magic that goes into Disney World’s 50th birthday. Cinderella Castle and other park icons will light up at night and Mickey and Minnie will be sporting their party outfits for an entire 18 months! But, one of the new additions will be sticking around past April 2023!

EPCOT at night is already a stunner with the addition of the new entrance fountain in front of Spaceship Earth, but Disney is bringing a new look that will be a permanent nighttime display!

For the 50th Anniversary (and beyond), Spaceship Earth will light up with a new color scheme and twinkle like the stars across the reflective paneling. It will feature a purple, blue, and green color scheme like other park icons for the anniversary and will become the new defining feature of EPCOT at night.

You can bet we’ll be soaking in all the new decorations and activities for those 18 months but are so excited that one will be sticking around! We’ll keep you posted on more news about Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, so stay tuned!
