The news that Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom would be getting a golden makeover for Cindy’s 70th Anniversary left guests with a lot of questions.

From fears that the castle would be covered during the renovation, to concern that they wouldn’t be able to get their iconic castle photo op, guests have been wondering what to expect from the upcoming renovation. Fortunately, Magic Kingdom VP Jason Kirk has provided some clarification about the refurbishment!
Guests have voiced concerned that this refurbishment will result in the closure of many of the castle’s features, such as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Cinderella’s Royal Table. Fortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

In comments beneath the announcement, Kirk confirmed that all of the castle’s shows and services would remain open throughout the refurbishment.

In addition, Kirk confirmed that the castle would remain uncovered throughout the refurbishment, allowing guests to take photos unobstructed.

Refurbishments are set to begin in the next few weeks, and we will bring you the latest developments as they occur!

It could use alittle touch up. The gold color is nice, but in feel it should be a lighter gold tone. Really not feeling the pink. Sorry
I wish it keep its blue and white look but with the gold update. I am not a fan of them coloring it light pink like the sleeping beauty castle in Disneyland. The blue and white matches cinderella more of course and not the pink which match of course sleeping beauty
