We booked cabin 8009 for mid-February for 6 nights. We requested 8005 - 8012 and asked for a firework view. It was super close to the main lobby and even closer to the boat launch. We were able to see the fireworks over the trees and this cabin in particular didn't have any trees right close blocking the view. We saw ducks of all kinds and spent a lot of time on the porch. You see the fireworks from the sofa and also had a perfect view of the light parade. The kids enjoyed waving to the passerby boats and especially loved being able to watch fireworks from the jacuzzi. The fold out chair is not comfortable, unfortunately. But word is the place is getting refurbished soon so I feel confident that'll be fixed soon. We were traveling with 2 ppl with mobility issues and everyone at the resort and in the parks was extremely accommodating. The cabin provides for a quiet retreat away from the hussle of the parks and main hotel areas.

Pros:

View of fireworks and light parade

Cons:

Foldout chair could be better

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the wilderness Lodge and was so excited to get to stay at Cooper Creek. However, I must say I was disappointed with the size of the room. We had 3 adults and 2 grown children and we were packed in like sardines!

Pros:

The main lobby ... the pool ... the restaurants ... the proximity to the lake and watching the Electric Parade ... the grounds were immaculate

Cons:

The size of the room. If there are 3 or 4 of you this place is GREAT. Even though it said 5 adults it was not one bit comfortable.

This has become my new favorite resort! We had a first floor studio steps to the pool and a short walk to everything else. I usually like an upper floor with balcony but being able to step out of our room and not go through the lobby was wonderful. The room was very nicely updated, loving the style. The pool was great, and we could walk over to the main pool for a quick change. The refill station was around the corner as well as great food offerings. We watched a movie close to the beach area and enjoyed the MK fireworks with the music in a relaxed atmosphere. The water pageant was easy to see and made for a great night. The main lobby is beautiful and the full and quick serve restaurants are top-notch. Boat transportation to the Magic Kingdom was quick and easy. Hands down a great part of our vacation

Pros:

Location to MK, fun nighttime atmosphere, food choices, beautiful resort

Cons:

Hard to get a reservation at 7 months

Love Copper Creek! The rooms feel like resort rooms and not like an apartment. The microwave is great for reheating leftovers or burning popcorn. Having a sink means you can easily wash your reusable mug at the end of the day, or your new reusable mug that you just bought.

Pros:

Connected to lobby, short walk to pools and dining options

Cons:

None

Two of us stayed in a 1BR DVC villa in late October 2021. I wanted to try out this newer DVC offering after seeing photos. We liked the decor of the villa very much, and the Wilderness Lodge in general is beautiful. We requested a room near the lobby, which we got. The villa was noticeably smaller than other DVC units. The staff members we spoke with were just OK, and the we found cobwebs in the corners of our room. We had a bad experience trying to eat at Geyser Point. It all added up to a mediocre stay. We will choose other DVC resorts in the future.

Pros:

Wilderness Lodge is beautiful

Cons:

small villas, mediocre staff

We stayed in a 3 BR Villa and it was heaven. Two bedrooms with 2 queen size beds/each, and a king sized master suite. The suite is enormous, with a full kitchen, and 3 bathrooms. A HUGE dining room table that could easily seat 10-12 people. Our measly 6 people looked pitiful using one end. Super comfortable, we came in with every intention of going to MK the next day (this was pre-pandemic), but the room was so wonderful and comfortable, we just ended up staying in and taking it easy that day. If you don’t order the room service nachos, you’re really missing out!

Pros:

Good dining options

Cons:

Limited buses for handicapped (when we were there)

Copper creek is the second wing of timeshares. These are converted hotel rooms.
They are beautiful, but crowed, narrow hallway by the door.
This is because they added the kitchenette and washer.
The other or the resort has the original time shares which are designed better.
They also have their own building with a lobby and a private pool.

Pros:

Nice view of the pool area.

Cons:

Rooms are crampted by the door.

We have been going to WDW 1-3x a year since 1993. When we grew into our love for the "deluxe" resort, Wilderness Lodge was out go to destination. Naturally, when we finally decided to join DVC (should have done it 20 years ago) it was a visit to the newly completed Copper Creek that sold us.

Just walking the grounds at the newly completed pool area and was breathtaking. We joined DVC the next day.

Our most recent stay was in June of 2019 in a 1 bedroom @ Copper Creek. It just feels like home. The entire Boulder Ridge, Copper Creek, Wilderness Lodge resort area is perfect. Rooms are well done and the proximity to Mk is great. Close, but not too close.

Pros:

Theming. Amenities. Pools.

Cons:

Rooms are a touch small. Only 4 to a 1 bedroom or studio when others can fit 5.

As a DVC member my home resort is at Copper Creek. I have stayed in this resort 3 times. Each time is an enjoyable experience and I love the hotel.
Arriving at Copper Creek you are greeted by Wilderness Lodge cast members and once you step foot into the hotel you are transported into the woods. The decor of the resort is consistent throughout the entire hotel. One thing that I have noticed is the design between the Villas at Copper Creek and the Wilderness Lodge. I find that Wilderness Lodge rooms are more true to the meaning and the Copper Creek villas are modern. I feel the room loses the flavor in the villas. The transportation to the parks is limited. This is NOT a Monorail resort. This hotel offers boat and bus service. The boat is nice since it is a nonstop trip to the Magic Kingdom. Usually not to crowded either. Unlike the busses it will not be a crammed ride. The major con with the boats is the capacity on board. That could complicate getting to the park for park-open. The boat ride is about 10-15 minutes at most.
Boat Services go to Ft. Wilderness and Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom

I do love the resort and think it has a lot to offer for resort guests. I highly suggest this resort for parents with children if you are staying in the Magic Kingdom Area. This resort has the best flavor or design in my opinion. The pool are is also another nice amenity. There is a nice slide and the pool is large in size.

For a family of 5 the 1 Bedroom Villa is a little tight due to the close proximity of the beds and couch. The 2 Bedroom Villa is very nice.

*Watch out for the bunnies and lizards too :))
Adventure is out there and The Wilderness must be explored!!

Pros:

The proximity to the Magic Kingdom Nice pool Roaring Fork (Nice Quick Service)- serves breakfast, lunch and dinner Spacious

Cons:

No monorail Poor Cellular Reception in certain
