With a variety of streaming services, cable television, and YouTube, there are SO many things you could watch. (Like the AllEars YouTube channel! 😉) But it seems like we’ve been seeing quite a few shows get canceled lately. And now we can add Etoile to that list.

Variety reports that Amazon’s new series Etoile, which just released its first season, has now been canceled despite originally having a second season planned. The ballet show is made by the creators of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel — Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino.

The series first debuted in late April and received generally positive reviews from critics. It starred Luke Kirby and Charlotte Gainsbourg as ballet company directors teaming up to save each other’s institutions. All eight season one episodes were dropped on Amazon Prime Video at the same time.

Two seasons of the show were initially ordered, but the show’s creators were tentative about the prospect of more episodes during an interview back in April.
