FULL LIST of Everything Coming to Disneyland for Halloween This Year

Are you ready to get spooky? Sure, Halloween is still several months away, but Halloween Time will start in August in Disneyland, and Disneyland is ready.

Disney just recently revealed some huge details about what you can expect during Halloween Time in Disneyland, and we’re going to fill you in on everything just announced.

Dates

Halloween Time will start in Disneyland on August 22nd and run through October 31st. During that time, you’ll be able to enjoy spooky decor, spooky snacks, and more Halloween fun in the parks.

It’s likely, though, that some of that decor will pop even a little earlier, so we’ll be keeping an eye out.

New costumes for Mickey and Minnie

Mickey and Minnie have chosen their Halloween costumes for the year. The iconic couple will be sporting a twist on their 70th Anniversary Celebration outfits, and they’ll be looking bewitching.

The new costumes have “swirling colors of purple, green, and orange.”

Haunted Mansion Holiday

The citizens of Halloweentown will return to the Haunted Mansion this year to convert it into Haunted Mansion Holiday.

If you love A Nightmare Before Christmas, this ride overlay is not to be missed.

Halloween Screams

Every night, Disneyland will have a performance of Halloween Screams, a special Halloween-themed projection show. You’ll see creepy projections and special effects as well as your favorite Disney villains.

On select nights, Halloween Screams will be accompanied by fireworks.

Happiest Haunts Tour

Take a frightful walk around Disneyland with this two-hour walking tour that tells chilling stories about the history of Halloween in Disneyland, as well as Halloween stories specific to Disney.

You’ll also get Lightning Lane entry to a select attraction, access to reserved viewing for Halloween Screams, and a photo op with the Haunted Mansion’s Hitchhiking Ghosts.

Over in California Adventure, you’ll be able to enjoy Haul-O-Ween in Cars Land, when the land gets its Halloween overlay — don’t forget to go for a ride on Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree.

You’ll also get to spend your evenings riding Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, a special ride overlay with a spooky twist.

Mickey’s Trick and Treat

A new show is coming to the Disney Theater to temporarily replace Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! The new show is Mickey’s Trick and Treat! and it’s an interactive show that will be living up to the spirit of Halloween without being TOO scary.

After the show, you even get to take home a special treat.

Halloween food and drinks

Of course, there will be a TON of Halloween-themed food and drinks coming to both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. This year, the Oogie Boogie Lemonade is returning, but there will also be a new snack:  jalapeño-cream cheese bread.

Halloween Merchandise

There will also be huge collections of special Halloween-themed merchandise to buy, including the Mickey Mouse Family Halloween Collection. Even more collections will also be part of this year’s merchandise.

You’ll be able to grab Halloween merchandise at shops in Downtown Disney, Disneyland, and Disney California Adventure. A new Coco collection will also hit shops in September.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit

The fun hunt for pumpkins is returning to Downtown Disney, Disneyland, and Disney California Adventure this year.

Beginning on August 29th through October 31st, you can purchase the Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit map and then hunt for pumpkins to complete the map and exchange it for a fun prize.

Disneyland Hotels

Enjoy a fun Halloween-themed character dining experience when characters don their Halloween costumes for meals at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel.

The Broken Spell Lounge at the Disneyland Hotel will also feature a Disney Villains-themed cocktail menu. You’ll also get to see pumpkin carvers, as well as a confectionery display, in the lobby of the Grand Californian Hotel. Tenaya Stone Spa will even have Halloween-themed treatments.

Plaza de la Familia

Plaza de la Familia will be returning to Disney California Adventure to celebrate Coco and the bonds of family. You’ll be able to experience Plaza de la Familia from August 22nd through November 2nd.

The celebration, inspired by Dia de los Muertos, will also bring back the Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco! You’ll also get to enjoy new Mexican dishes, take part in crafts, and get a special photo op with a Miguel puppet. At the Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life), you can add a note of remembrance on the memory wall.

Disney also revealed dates and ticket prices for Oogie Boogie Bash (you can check that out here).

The special ticketed event will run from August 17th through October 31st and tickets go on sale to Inspire Magic Key Holders on June 24th, all Magic Key Holders on June 25th, and to the general public on June 26th.

As you can see, there’s a LOT going on during Halloween Time in Disneyland, so you might want to start planning now.
