Oogie Boogie Bash – Disney California Adventure

Oogie Boogie Bash is a ticketed event that allows guests to celebrate the spookiest season of all in Disney California Adventure.

This special event includes exclusive entertainment, like the Frightfully Fun Parade, trick-or-treating, Villains Grove, characters dressed in their costumes, and more!

Oogie Boogie Bash Information

The Oogie Boogie Bash takes place at Disney California Adventure in Disneyland Resort. The event begins at 6PM and lasts until 11PM. Ticket holders may enter DCA as early as 3PM and no park reservation is required.

2026 Dates

Oogie Boogie Bash is taking place on select nights from August 18th to October 31st! 

With your ticket, you’ll get to enter the park up to 3 hours before the official party begins. The party then kicks off at 6PM and lasts for 5 hours.

Tickets will officially go on sale in late June. This event tends to sell out QUICKLY, so keep your eyes out for those dates!

NOTE: Oogie Boogie Bash typically sells out quickly, and in fact sold out within a few days of going on sale most years.

You need to purchase an Oogie Boogie Bash ticket to attend the event, which means a regular theme park ticket does not allow you to attend the party.

Entertainment

Trick or treating is part of the Oogie Boogie Bash, with Immersive Treat Trails where Cast Members hand out candy to guests.

The Frightfully Fun Parade Parade features all kinds of characters, including the Headless Horseman, the Ugly Stepsisters, Lady Tremaine, the Red Queen, Captain Hook, Judge Frollo, Jafar, Ursula, and more.

Mickey’s Trick and Treat Show is a costume party stage show you can catch a few times during Oogie Boogie Bash. Join Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and their pal Parker for some mad science!

At the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail you’ll find Villains Grove, featuring areas inspired by Disney Villains, including:

Frollo’s Sanctuary – Step into a cathedral of ancient trees, where the air is thick with the fragrance of incense and the haunting hum of distant chants.

Maleficent’s Will – Wander through a realm swarming with ominous ravens, tangled vines tipped with thorns, and a waterfall shimmering with an enchanting cascade of colors.

Queen of Hearts Garden – Stroll through a whimsical garden, where roses bloom and paint themselves crimson before your very eyes.

Scar’s Elephant Graveyard – Venture deep into an expansive wasteland, where the echoing laughter of hyenas fills the air.

Dr. Facilier’s Friends on the Other Side – Drawn into the unseen, shadowy hands and swirling spells beckon you into the darkest corners of the grove.

The Wicked Queen’s Lightning Forest – Watch as the forest crackles with life, illuminated by electrifying storms that leap from branch to branch.

Home of the Wisps – Follow the glowing guardians as they lead you through a sanctuary of endless light, guiding you safely on your journey.

Dawn – Escape just in time as lanterns flicker, casting their glow toward a breathtaking sunrise, marking the end of this mythical adventure.

Specialty Food

Special event food like Pain and Panic Churros are available during Oogie Boogie Bash. The Pain Churro was made with strawberry-flavored sugar with hints of ghost pepper at Señor Buzz Churros, while the Panic Churro, made with blue sugar and raspberry popping candy, was available near Goofy’s Sky School.
