The Country Bear Jamboree has gotten a makeover!

The Magic Kingdom has gotten quite a few new attractions in the past couple of years. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure just opened last month, and TRON Lightcycle / Run has been taking riders through the Grid for a little over a year now. Magic Kingdom now has another attraction that will open up very soon, but we got a sneak peek.
The Bears recently went into hibernation, and when they came out, they started to perform in a brand new show with updated costumes, a new setlist, and even new names. Let’s take a look at these changes.

To start, the set list is completely different and consists of ten songs, the majority of which are from different Disney movies. The set list is as follows:
- “Country Bear Musical Jamboree”
- “Try Everything” from Zootopia
- “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid
- “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from Mary Poppins
- “A Whole New World” from Aladdin
- “Fixer Upper” from Frozen
- “Remember Me” from Coco
- “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story
- “The Bare Necessities” from The Jungle Book
- “Come Again”

While the updated show uses the same beloved animatronic bears from the original opening-day attraction, some of the bears have new names and even an updated wardrobe.

While you wait for the show, the waiting area of Grizzly Hall now acts as a mini-museum with relics from all of the Country Bears.

Look at Big Al’s vest with all his different patches.

We wonder if this used to be in front of the bear equivalent of the Chinese Theater.

Henry is still good ol’ Henry, hosting the show and leading the Jamboree. He got a brand-new outfit. He traded in his black top hat for a white cowboy hat and white jacket. While he is wearing more clothes in this version of the show, he is still missing pants. Sammy, the raccoon still makes an appearance in the show but no longer as a living hat.

The Five Bear Rugs are still performing at Grizzly Hall. Zeb, Zeke, Fred, Ted, and Tennessee have brand new costumes and now sport blue bandanas together. Oscar, who is Zeb’s son, is still on stage, but he traded in his teddy bear for a plush Big Al.

Gomer is still Henry’s right-hand man and plays the piano. He got a brand-new tie. Wendell traded his hat for a cowboy hat and a new vest. He is both a singer and a mandolin player.

Don’t worry, Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah are still part of the show. They support Trixie during one of her songs. They traded in their bonnets for adorable pink cowboy hats and matching pink outfits.

Trixie also matches the girls in a brand new pink outfit and is much more clothed than her previous version.

Teddi Beara is still swinging. Her outfit has changed, but the color scheme is pretty much the same. She now wears a pink cowboy hat with a blue feathered boa.

Ernest is still playing the fiddle. His new outfit reminds us of Bert’s from Mary Poppins. This is fitting since he performs “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” in the film.

Terrance, better known as Shaker, now sports a blue vest and a white hat.

Liver Lips McGrowl is now Romeo McGrowl, and he has a cool new hairstyle that mimics Elvis’s. He even has a brand new blue Elvis-esque outfit and a personalized guitar.

Everyone can stay calm knowing that Big Al is still part of the show and coming off of his 25th Farewell Tour. While he no longer sings “Blood on the Saddle,” he now sings “Remember Me” from Coco.

Of course, Melvin, Buff, and Max are still hanging around (pun intended) to help introduce the show and make comments throughout it.

This new show officially opens to the public on July 17th. We are glad that Disney was able to keep an opening-day attraction around with an updated show.
