Sometimes your favorite rides don’t always cooperate on the day of your visit.

Many times, rides close unexpectedly during a park day — sometimes multiple at once! Other times, we hear the news that rides are closing for refurbishment, and sometimes don’t know when they’ll reopen. Let’s take a look at what rides closed the MOST in April!
Magic Kingdom
This month, it was a near tie in Magic Kingdom! Pirates of the Caribbean closed a whopping 29 times in the span of 14 days.

Surprisingly, the Magic Carpets of Aladdin also closed 29 times, but over the span of 19 days.

Were you expecting that second one? We’ll be honest — some of us didn’t!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Over in Hollywood Studios, it’s unsurprising to us (and likely you), that Rise of the Resistance closed the most in April — 37 times in 20 days.

Slinky Dog Dash also closed a lot — 32 times in 21 days.

Both of these rides are some of the most popular in the park, so when they go down, other wait times in the park will likely jump.
EPCOT
Test Track ranked at the top of EPCOT ride closures this month, closing 38 times in 20 days.

Meanwhile, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Gran Fiesta Tour tied for second this month, closing 29 times in 16 days.

What two opposite sides of the ride spectrum — one with very advanced technology, and one a “simple” boat ride that’s been around for ages!

Time to move on to our last Disney World park.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Over in Animal Kingdom, Triceratop Spin ranks highest again, closing 29 times in 21 days.

And then we had yet another tie — Dinosaur closed 19 times over 15 days and Expedition Everest closed 19 times over 14 days.

Animal Kingdom doesn’t have many rides, so if more than one is down, watch out for those wait times.

Now it’s time to head to one of Orlando’s other popular theme parks to see a WILD number of ride closures.
Universal Orlando
Over at Universal, Rip Ride Rockit closed 85 TIMES over 29 days!

Behind it, VelociCoaster closed 73 times over 27 days.

Even for rides as technologically advanced as these are, especially VelociCoaster, this is still a SUPER high number of closures! We keep an eye on ride closures every day, so stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest ride news!
