THREE Classic Disney Rides Are CLOSED

Update: Peter Pan’s Flight, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and Alice in Wonderland are now CLOSED for refurbishment in Disneyland and will reopen in a few weeks. Check the post below for reopening date details.

If you’re heading out west to visit Disneyland Resort, there’s a lot of excitement awaiting you currently!

There’s the newly reopened Mickey’s Toontown with Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, as well as the special celebrations going on for Disney’s 100th Anniversary. But for those with a trip on the books, there’s a big WARNING we need to give you.

Quite a few things at Disneyland Park are currently closed for refurbishment — Tarzan’s Treehouse, the French Market Restaurant, and the Mint Julep Bar. On top of that, Splash Mountain has closed to be remade into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. But now, we have THREE more attractions to add to the list of closures.

Splash Mountain in Disneyland

Starting June 5th, Peter Pan’s Flight, Alice in Wonderland, and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride will all be closed for refurbishment.

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and Alice in Wonderland are both currently scheduled to reopen about two weeks later on June 16th. Peter Pan’s Flight will be closed through June 29th.

Alice in Wonderland

Those are three of Fantasyland’s classics, so that’ll limit your options a bit when you’re in the park. Also, two of those three rides are attractions that we don’t have at Disney World, so if you’re an east coaster trying to plan a trip to Disneyland to try something different, you may want to take the closures into consideration.

We’ll be on the lookout for any updates about both these refurbishments and any others in the parks. Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
