Disneyland’s Splash Mountain recently closed, but things are already changing with the attraction.
Splash Mountain will be reimagined as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a new attraction based on Disney’s animated film The Princess and the Frog. We already have a lot of details about the new ride’s soundtrack, story, and more, so now we’re just watching for changes being made to the attraction — which are already happening.
The first change we’ve noticed is on the Disneyland app. Splash Mountain is no longer listed as an attraction, but in its place is “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” and “Coming 2024!”
The physical park map also has a similar change with the same text on it.
Inside, where rides are listed under Critter Country, Splash Mountain has been removed from the list.
There are also construction walls up around the ride now.
The walls are much like the ones in Disney World that reference the ride’s back story. So you’ll see Tiana’s Foods Coming Soon signs and Southern Dome Salt Company logos.
The front of the ride is also hidden by construction walls.
However, the Splash Mountain sign over the entrance has not been removed yet.
We have not yet seen actual signs of construction, but we imagine that we will see more changes soon.
We’ll continue to keep an eye on construction around Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in both Disneyland AND Disney World, so be sure to check back with AllEars again soon!
