Who else is excited about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure?

Construction is in full swing over in Disney World, and the ride has officially closed in Disneyland. However, we did just get more information on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure as a ride itself!
Here’s what we know about the ride so far:
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure picks up after the end of The Princess and The Frog, where Tiana has successfully opened Tiana’s Palace, her restaurant. The story of the new ride starts in the queue, where guests learn that Tiana has also started Tiana’s Foods, an employee-owned cooperative. Thanks to combining her talents and working with the community, they’ve turned an old salt mine into a beloved brand.

With the help of Eudora, Naveen, Louis, and fellow owners of the cooperative, she began to grow vegetables, spices, and herbs for her recipes on the revived land. Tiana’s Foods is both a boutique farm and a working and teaching kitchen. Tiana and her colleagues are working on creating all sorts of new products, including a new line of hot sauces.

Tiana plans to throw an amazing party during Mardi Gras, but it turns out there has been a mix-up with the party preparations, and Tiana invites us to join her at Tiana’s Foods to find the missing ingredient for the party.
Now we’ve got some more details on the characters we’ll see in the attraction!

In Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, you’ll be able to see the characters you know and love from the movie, but it will also showcase 17 new characters. All of the characters in the ride will be brand new animatronics.

As a reminder, here are the characters that Disney previously announced would make an appearance in the attraction: Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Mama Odie, Louis, Eudora, Charlotte, “Big Daddy,” the King and Queen of Maldonia, and Prince Ralphie! Many of the original voice actors will reprise their roles.

Disney has not revealed all of the character details just yet, but we did get to learn a little more about Ralphie, Naveen’s little brother, who is learning to play the drums. The drums are based on a historical drum set from New Orleans and everything will be accurate to the period that this ride takes place in (the 1920s). We’ll also see many musical animals including an otter, a raccoon, and a beaver.

Disney talked about how we’ll interact with the characters that we already know as well! Regarding that mixup before the Mardi Gras party, riders will go with Louis, the lovable trumpet-playing alligator, into the bayou to find it.
Mama Odie will also be seen several times throughout the ride.

Remember, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is not set to open in the Disney parks until late 2024, so it will be a while before we get to enjoy the finished product. However, we’ll keep you updated as new details are released for the ride — stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news!
