It’s been almost a full year since fireworks have lit up the nighttime sky for guests to see in the parks.
We have seen Disney do some fireworks testing from time to time though, with the most recent being testing at EPCOT. And, last night, MORE fireworks were spotted from the park!
Thanks to our reader @probablyplanningdisney on Instagram, we got a good look at fireworks lighting up in the sky as part of a test from behind Disney’s Boardwalk!
According to her, the fireworks show lasted almost 15 minutes (!!) and they weren’t sporadic like we had seen in the past — it was a full-on show!

And, we even got to see another perspective of the fireworks thanks to another reader on Instagram, @syd_the_science_squ1d. She shared another video of the view of the fireworks she had from her hotel room!

We have seen Disney completing more testing on the equipment in the center of the World Showcase Lagoon that will be used during the new EPCOT Harmonious nighttime fireworks show. So, this could be the fireworks testing for that new show.
Disney hasn’t shared any information on when they anticipate fireworks shows to return to the parks, but we will continue to keep an eye out for updates! Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
