Don’t Forget! ANOTHER Magic Kingdom Ride Is Set To Temporarily Close Soon

If you’re planning on visiting Magic Kingdom soon, you’re probably aware that there’s a lot of construction and closures happening in that park. As it stands, Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island are permanently closed to make way for Piston Peak, a new Cars expansion in Frontierland.

Also, both Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin are closed for updates, but we have another closure to remind you about.

We previously reported that Mickey’s PhilharMagic will be closing on November 1st for a scheduled refurbishment. So here’s your reminder that if you’re visiting Magic Kingdom on or shortly after that date, you will not get to experience this attraction.

This ride closure is temporary, though, and according to the Disney World website, Mickey’s PhilharMagic is expected to reopen later in the month, so if you’re visiting in late November, you may get a chance to see it. We just want to make sure that you keep this closure in mind if you’re visiting Disney World soon.

As we previously mentioned, this ride will be closed, along with Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which is getting a massive update, including a new scene, an exterior that will better blend in with Piston Peak, a new track, and more. That ride is expected to reopen in 2026.

In addition, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is closed in Tomorrowland. That ride is getting a new scene, new reactive targets, handheld blasters, and more. It’s also expected to reopen in 2026.
