Disney just dropped breaking news around a popular EPCOT ride! Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be closing at EPCOT as Disney looks to make a major change with the ride.

Disney just announced that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the France pavilion will be closing from November 10th to November 13th, as Imagineers look to change the ride from a 3D experience to a 2D experience.
Thankfully, the downtime for the ride will only last a few days. Disney stated that the ride will return with enhanced digital visuals and clearer imagery projected in 2D.

This could be a massive upgrade, as some fans have said they felt nauseous on the ride due to the 3D visuals. Even from our experience, depending on where you’re sitting, we’ve found the 3D imagery can seem a tad blurry.

That’s not the only change that Disney has announced with the ride. Disney also said that fans will soon spot new props and lightning enhancements that will be added to the queue and attraction over the next few months! There is no news on what these could arrive, but we’re excited to find out more.

The Disneyland Paris version of the same ride will be getting the same changes as Disney World’s; the only difference is that their attraction is closed from October through the spring of 2026.

We cannot wait to see what’s new with this ride!

I’m actually looking forward to this change. I am fortunate not to have been bothered by the 3-D aspects of this ride as some were, but I oftentimes found myself removing my 3-D glasses in between the screen scenes to better appreciate the detail in the practical sets (all of the food in the cooler, the underbelly of the building right before the last kitchen scene, etc.), so this will make the transitions more seamless in my opinion!
