This NEW Addition to EPCOT's Japan Pavilion Is Giving Major Nostalgia

The Japan Pavilion in EPCOT is home to so many treasures if you know where to look.

Often, we head into Mitsukoshi to check out some interesting snacks and drinks, as well as check out the awesome merchandise that will trick your friends back home into thinking you actually went TO Japan! However, there’s a new addition in the pavilion that we think is SO fun, and we hope it sticks around for a while!

If you’re familiar with Japan, or Japanese culture, you may know that there are little vending machines you’ll find loads of places. Often, they dispense collectible toys, and many of the ones you’ll find around are called gachapon. These are capsule machines that dispense toys made by Bandai, and they’re a very popular pastime for many. As it turns out, now there’s a section of these machines that you can find in the Japan Pavilion!

There’s an entire area set up now that’s being called Gachapon Corner. It’s full of multiple different machines selling all kinds of collectibles. You’ll find Kirby, Ultraman, and more to check out — there’s something for everyone!

A big screen nearby will help you select which one you’d like to receive a collectible from, so you don’t have to worry about having cash or coins on you! Now, these aren’t cheap, unfortunately — the average price seems to be around $12, but some are as low as $9, while others are as high as $15.

We decided to grab one ourselves — look at our adorable new friend!

We think this is so fun, and even if you don’t decide to grab a collectible yourself, it’s a cool addition to look at and see what other people get if they decide to take a chance with fate!
