It’s Almost Time! A HUGE Change Is Coming to EPCOT Next Week

Everyone, remain calm, the time is almost here…

Mark your calendars for June 4th, because guests will be able to finally step inside the brand-new EPCOT lounge themed after Spaceship Earth — GEO-82! We can’t wait to visit the lounge next week, there’s a lot of school stuff in store for us EPCOT terrans.

Like we mentioned, the lounge will be themed after the iconic staple of EPCOT, Spaceship Earth! You may not have known this, but the name GEO-82 is a nod to the opening year of EPCOT,  as it opened in 1982.

GEO-82 is a lounge where you’ll be immersed in the history and legacy of Spaceship Earth. The lounge features stunning, sleek, and modern decor. The decor is actually inspired by the geometric architecture of Spaceship Earth. We love the view the lounge will give us out to the World Celebration Gardens, and past that to the World Showcase. Which is important to note, because the firework viewing from the lounge will be top notch!

We haven’t even mentioned the food yet! Guests will wide selection of both food and drinks to enjoy while relaxing. The menu features globally inspired small plates, as well as cocktails, the best wines and spirits, and beer. The lounge is adults-only — you have to be 21 years of age or older and must present a valid ID upon entry.

We briefly mentioned the view of World Showcase Lagoon, and how it will look to watch the fireworks. Well, EPCOT was prepared for that, because they are offering firework viewing experience packages for guests to purchase! You’ll be able to see the show from tables that sit against the lounge’s windows. As well as a chance to experience “savory light bites, sweet selections, Champagne poured tableside, and event-exclusive cocktails” while enjoying Luminous: The Symphony of Us — EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular.

Guess what?! You can make reservations for GEO-82 NOW, as they opened on May 6th. Be aware, they have been in very high demand, as expected. If you want to go, it would be smart to book as early as possible! That can be done online or through the My Disney Experience App.
