I recently just got the chance to visit Epic Universe for the first time, and while there are SO many things that amazed me, one of my “wow” moments is way simpler than you may think.

Yes, I was wildly impressed by the shows. I loved exploring the lands and all the new attractions, not to mention getting to try EIGHT different mocktails, but what really stood out to me in this park was that you can get water pretty much EVERYWHERE and it’s VERY easy. Theme parks — take notes!
In many theme parks, especially in Orlando, when you’re thirsty, you have to find a quick service location to ask for water, and then you have to use those tiny little free cups of water to fill up your water bottle, which can be a hassle if you’re trying to move around the park freely.

That’s not the case in Epic Universe! There are free water bottle refill stations EVERYWHERE, and since they were built in, many of them are very well-themed to the lands where they are located!
Oh, and you’ll also find Coca-Cola Refill stations in nearly EVERY quick service restaurant, and even if you don’t have one of Universal’s refillable mugs, you can fill up any water bottle with ice and cold, filtered water with zero issues.

This was HUGE for me personally — oftentimes, Florida water has a swampy taste to it that, while it’s safe to drink, it doesn’t taste the best. That’s not the case with water from these Coca-Cola Refill stations OR the water bottle refill spots! Water from these is cool, tastes great, and is a fantastic way to make it much easier to stay hydrated.

I had ZERO issues with being thirsty and needing to go out of my way to grab water. Sometimes when I’m in a park, I’m so focused on where I’m heading that I don’t want to deviate to head into a restaurant to grab water. But in Epic Universe, no matter which direction you’re heading, you can find a place to get water with no hassle and no redirection needed.

This is one of the biggest things that made Quincy say she feels like this is truly a “2025 park” — meaning a park that has thought long and hard about what theme park goers in 2025 need and want to experience — and I couldn’t agree more! I so appreciated this small but mighty change, and really hope to see more parks around Orlando adopt something similar to help keep people hydrated with water that tastes great.

I live in Ohio and Kings Island has had these machines for several years now along with the water bottle stations!
Glad the bigger parks are catching on!
