If your social media feed is anything like ours, it’s COVERED in pictures and videos from Epic Universe. And maybe you’re getting a little jealous.

We don’t blame you. We’ve been counting down the days till May 22nd, when the park officially opens. But wait, if the park isn’t open, how are people in there and taking photos? Let’s chat about all the different ways you can get into Epic Universe early.
For the past two months, Epic Universe has been hosting various previews for guests to enter the park and try out different attractions before it opens.

First, there were Team Member previews, where Universal Team Members and their close family members could get into the park. No filming or photos were allowed until the Media Preview, when your feed might have started getting flooded with videos of Toothless and pictures of the monsters walking around in Dark Universe.

Epic Universe is currently in Annual Passholder previews! Annual Passholders, who currently hop at the existing parks at their leisure, were able to purchase a preview ticket to get into Epic early.

Passholder preview dates have just been extended, so you can now purchase tickets from now until May 19th, just a few days before the park opens.

But what if you’re not a Passholder? Don’t worry — there’s another way to get in, too, but it will cost a bit more. If you’re staying at a Universal hotel, you can purchase a preview ticket at the hotel lobby. You do not need to be an Annual Passholder to get this ticket.

Finally, active 2025 Military Freedom Pass Ticket Holders and Universal Rewards Signature VISA Card members can also purchase tickets to visit Epic Universe early.

Let’s recap how to get into Epic Universe early:
-
- Be an Annual Passholder and purchase a ticket online
- Stay at a Universal Hotel and buy tickets at the counter
- Have an active 2025 Military Freedom Pass
- Be a Universal Rewards Signature VISA Card member

During these previews, it’s known as a Technical Rehearsal. This means Universal is trying to have all the rides open and perfect, but these previews are to make sure mechanics are working and Team Members are expertly trained on different scenarios. It gives them an idea of crowd flows, what attractions are most popular, and how the restaurants are doing getting food out the door.

While Universal has been trying to do a good job of keeping all attractions operating, it’s helpful to go in with a patient mindset that Epic Universe might run a little differently when it opens.

Epic Universe officially opens May 22nd, and right now, you can purchase single-day tickets to visit once the park opens. Right now, you can only buy single-day tickets — no multi-day or annual pass add-ons — and it doesn’t matter how long your stay at the hotel is. One trip to Epic Universe right now!

Because you can only go for one day, you’ll want to make the most of it! Here at AllEars, we’re exploring every inch of Epic Universe so your day in the park can be as perfect as possible. Make sure you’re following AllEars to stay up-to-date on all the details!
