You Only Have Two Weeks to Try This Disney World Restaurant Before It Closes FOREVER

If you thought we’d forgotten about this, we didn’t, but we’re still grieving.

A fan-favorite restaurant is closing its doors very soon, and if you see us standing in front of the empty restaurant crying for meatballs, leave us be.

Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano will be closing its doors on May 11th, so the last day to dine will be May 10th. That’s only 15 days to experience this iconic restaurant.

This restaurant is tucked inside Muppets Courtyard, an area we’re also losing to a good cause, but we will still have PizzeRizzo and Muppet*Vision 3D till June 7th.

The Muppets are moving to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and vacating the courtyard for the monsters of Monstropolis to move in. Monsters, Inc. will have its own land in Hollywood Studios with a first-of-its-kind hanging door roller coaster.

If you’re missing Italian food in Hollywood Studios, you can head to PizzeRizzo till June 7th for a quick-service option with strangely good Caesar salad, or to ’50s Prime Time Cafe for a few pasta options.

When you can’t get the idea of authentic Italian cuisine out of your mind, you’ll want to head to Trattoria al Forno at the BoardWalk, a short walk from EPCOT. You’ll see a giant pizza oven when you walk in and smell the incredible aromas of Red Wine-braised Short Rib and Tiramisu.

For a more American take on Italian food, we also love Tony’s Town Square Restaurant at Magic Kingdom. Located right off of Main Street, you can dive into incredible garlic bread that is covered in a cheese sauce or watch the parade go by on the patio while diving into bowls of pasta.

If you want to enjoy Mama Melrose’s one more time, you can book reservations directly through the Disney World app or website. There are still plenty of times available for lunch and dinner, but as that date gets closer and closer, they’ll start to fill up!
