If you have an upcoming vacation to Disney World planned, get ready to get your steps in!

When visiting the parks, you will be on your feet A LOT, walking all around the parks. We go to Disney World every day, and we know just how important a comfortable pair of shoes is. We silently cringe when we see people wearing these five shoes in Disney World.

Don’t worry, while we are going to share what shoes NOT to wear, of course, we want to help you out and give you alternatives!

Cringe: Flip-flops
We are approaching the hot and rainy summer months at Disney World. While it may seem like a good idea to wear flip-flops to the parks, we advise against it. They offer little to no support, can slide off, and even give you blisters.

Alternative: Crocs
Some people have strong opinions about Crocs at Disney World. We recommend wearing a newer pair to make sure the treads on the Crocs are still there. These shoes are waterproof and offer more support compared to flip flops.

Cringe: Converse
Now, we aren’t telling you that you can’t wear your Converse with your dress (get it?!), but we are advising against wearing them to Disney World. You prefer a tennis shoe with a little more cushion and support.

Alternative: Hoka Bondi 9
Hoka sneakers are a super popular shoe choice for Disney World. They are so comfortable and support your feet during a long park day! You can snag these shoes in a variety of colors.

Cringe: Hey Dudes
These shoes are trendy right now, but trust us, you don’t want to wear them in the rain. In our experience, the tread of these shoes can wear off really quickly in the rain.

Alternative: Native Sneakers
If you are looking for a better shoe to wear in the rain, these Native sneakers are lightweight and 100% breathable.

Cringe: Birkenstocks
Now, we know this one may be controversial, as some people like to wear Birkenstocks in the park. We have had blisters while wearing these to Disney World, so if you want to wear them, we suggest making sure that they are broken in.

Alternative: Chacos
If you are looking for a pair of sandals to wear, Chacos are a great option. The straps are adjustable, and they are waterproof. Our very own Quincy loves to wear them!

Cringe: Heels
We can’t stress this enough! While some people wear heels into the parks for special occasions like Dapper Day, heels are not sustainable to wear for an entire day of walking.

Alternative: ANYTHING ELSE
We are serious; heels are not worth the pain your feet will experience, even if they look cute with your outfit! Do not wear heels into the parks unless you want to end up like Gloria in Modern Family!
