As you’re working on your 2025 Disney World plans, have you been thinking about visiting EPCOT?

Yes, I get that you might be bummed that Test Track is closed, but trust us – you’ve still got plenty of reasons to make EPCOT your next Disney World stop. Sure, Test Track is a fan favorite, but EPCOT offers so much more. From other jaw-dropping attractions to global eats and festivals, this park has enough to keep you entertained all day. So why not take advantage of everything EPCOT has to offer?
Here’s why skipping Test Track doesn’t mean skipping EPCOT.
World Showcase Is Still the MVP
Let’s start with one of the most iconic parts of EPCOT: the World Showcase. Even without Test Track, there’s nothing quite like wandering from country to country, enjoying everything from handcrafted margaritas in Mexico to buttery pastries in France.

Whether you’re snacking your way around the world, sipping on a pint at the Rose & Crown in the U.K., or hunting down rare Disney merch exclusive to each pavilion, the World Showcase crawl is always a win.

And if you time your visit with one of EPCOT’s festivals – like the Food & Wine Festival or Festival of the Arts – you’ve got even more reasons to explore.

Festival food booths, art displays, and live entertainment make this area a must-visit, no matter what’s happening with the rides.
Spaceship Earth: The OG Ride We All Love
While Test Track might be closed, you can still get your ride fix at Spaceship Earth (you know that giant golf ball looking thing at the park’s entrance).

This classic ride takes you on a journey through the history of communication, complete with animatronics and a relaxing, air-conditioned atmosphere.

For many of us longtime Disney fans, Spaceship Earth is the ultimate nostalgia trip, and for newbies, it’s a quintessential EPCOT experience. Either way, it’s a great way to chill out, soak up some history, and enjoy one of Disney’s most iconic attractions.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Is a Game-Changer
If it’s thrills you’re after, look no further than Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

This cutting-edge coaster is hands-down one of the best rides Disney has ever created. With its spinning cars, reverse launch, and killer soundtrack (which changes every time you ride), Cosmic Rewind delivers on all fronts.

Fair warning: it’s not for the faint of heart – if you’re prone to motion sickness, this one might not be your jam. But if you can handle it, and you’re looking for the thrills, Cosmic Rewind makes a trip to EPCOT worth it.
There Are Still Plenty of Other Rides to Enjoy
Even with Test Track down, EPCOT’s ride lineup is solid. Here’s a quick breakdown of some of the other rides you can check out:
-
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure: Shrink down to the size of a rat and join Remy in the kitchens of Gusteau’s for a family-friendly, trackless 4D experience.
- Frozen Ever After: Sail through Arendelle with Anna, Elsa, and Olaf. It’s a hit with Frozen fans of all ages.
- Soarin’ Around the World: Fly over some of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes in this immersive, hang-glider-style ride.
- Mission: SPACE: Whether you choose the intense Orange Mission or the gentler Green Mission, this space-themed simulator offers an “out-of-this-world” experience.
- Living with the Land: This low-key boat ride through EPCOT’s greenhouses is the hidden gem of the park. If you know, you know.

The Festivals Alone Are Worth the Trip
Depending on when you visit, EPCOT is almost guaranteed to be hosting a festival. These events aren’t just a nice bonus – they’re a main attraction in their own right.

Take the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, for example. You’ll find global-inspired dishes and drinks that go way beyond your typical theme park food. Or, if you visit during the Festival of the Holidays, you can snack on seasonal treats and enjoy holiday-themed entertainment.

The festivals also feature unique merchandise, live performances, and interactive activities, which makes them a huge draw for Disney fans.

Even though Test Track is on pause, EPCOT is far from skippable. From the unbeatable vibes of the World Showcase to rides like Cosmic Rewind, there’s more than enough to make your visit memorable.
Until then, stay tuned with us for even more Disney World updates, news, changes, and more!
