More details have been revealed about the new Disney Villains show, nighttime parade, and The Little Mermaid show coming to Disney World later this year!

2025 will bring lots of changes to Disney World, including the debut of the Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After show in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away nighttime parade in Magic Kingdom. Plus, the revamped version of The Little Mermaid show will also kick off in Hollywood Studios. And Disney just shared more details about these new additions coming later this year!
Let’s start with a look at Magic Kingdom’s new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. According to Disney, the project team is drawing inspiration from both the history of nighttime parades at Magic Kingdom and some of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ earliest animated features.

The nod to Disney history will be evident in the parade’s recently revealed princess unit, which pays homage to Disney Legend and artist Mary Blair’s original concept artwork for Disney Animation’s Cinderella.

The new parade floats will be complemented by a fleet of glimmering garments designed by the Disney Live Entertainment Costuming team. Each look will be “kissed by starlight” using a blend of innovative lighting techniques and custom fabrics.

Disney shared a sneak peek at one of the costumes, made with fabric that will pick up the glow of the surrounding floats and twinkling lights that will glow in synchronization with the parade music.

Now, let’s talk Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After! It was already announced that this show will replace the now-closed Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy in Hollywood Studios and feature some of our favorite baddies, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent.

Or, are they baddies?? Disney released details about what we can expect in the new show — the Magic Mirror will summon the villains to break through the glass and take the stage to prove why they are the most misunderstood. In the end, the audience will have to make the final call in a finale filled with dozens of the most infamous Disney Villains awaiting your decision from within the Mirror’s realm.

The project team has spent nearly two years developing the show’s cutting-edge stage design, effects, and live musical numbers that will celebrate the villains we love to hate. According to Disney, “There will be drama, there will be laughs, there will be something for everyone.”

The villains show will open this summer alongside the revamped The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, which will replace the former Voyage of the Little Mermaid show.

Rehearsals are now underway for The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, which will feature all-new sets, a cast of puppets, live performers, and more.

We’ll be on the lookout for more details about all of the exciting new additions coming to Disney World this year, so keep an eye on AllEars to stay in the know about the latest updates!

Yet again, it sounds like Disney is trying to tell us that bad guys are not really bad because they enjoy it; they are bad because they were wronged by so-called good guys. What a crock. The villains were all loved because they were unapologetically bad.
I love the name Villains Realm for the new area coming to the Magic Kingdom.
