A day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can be so overwhelming, thanks to all the amazing stuff you can do. But if you plan it right, you can easily get your day started on the right foot.

You know it is going to be a good day when you are walking down Hollywood Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios early in the morning with a full day of fun ahead of you.
You got up early and made it to Hollywood Studios in time for rope drop, but now the golden question. Where should you go first?
While you might try to hit some of the rides that usually end up with the highest wait times like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or Slinky Dog Dash, we would like to suggest a new strategy for rope-dropping Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

When you first enter the park, instead of heading toward Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge or Toy Story Land, we think you should turn right down Sunset Boulevard. From there you can knock out Tower of Terror AND Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster easily. You can’t beat getting two popular rides done with at the beginning of your day.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster should especially be on your radar if you’re a fan of Aerosmith and the current version of the ride. Disney announced that the ride is getting a Muppets retheme, set to debut sometime in the summer of 2026.

The newest version of the attraction will feature an animatronic of Scooter, who is the band manager of Electric Mayhem. We’ll also see penguin audio engineers and The Muppets team up with some of today’s biggest stars, among other changes.

Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster are right next to each other, and they are basically a walk-on first thing in the morning. Based on wait time data, Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster are usually posting a 15-minute wait or less at 9 AM. Usually, the wait times increase by 10 AM, so heading over to these rides first thing could save you some precious time in line.

By turning right first thing, you should be able to get two rides done with first thing. After you ride both of these attractions, you can head over to Galaxy’s Edge or Toy Story Land if the wait times are still low. You can check the My Disney Experience app to see wait times and decide which attraction is your next stop.

However, you can also consider purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Slinky Dog Dash and others. You might also consider a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. You can book these selections in advance to make the most of your day. Knock out Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster first thing, then utilize Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass to get the other popular rides done.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass are awesome add-ons that are especially valuable at this popular park packed with E-ticket attractions.

We have a full guide to both of these systems that you need to check out before your Disney World trip! Also, hang out with Sage and Emma to learn how to have the PERFECT day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with Lightning Lane Multi Pass:
