I’ll be honest…I am AWFUL at any and all interactive game attractions in Disney World.

But that doesn’t mean I don’t love them, and I know a lot of other members of the team feel the same way. While I love Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Magic Kingdom (especially because I somehow got Galactic Hero once, and I don’t think it’ll ever happen again), Toy Story Mania in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has my heart. The line can get pretty long for this attraction though, so if you find yourself bored the next time you’re waiting to hop on, I’ve got some suggestions for you!
Getting All The Tips to Get That High Score!
If you’re a little competitive like I am, then you’ll likely want to get the highest score you can when you play, whether if you’re on your own or with family/friends.

There are tons of different tips you can read about while you wait in line to help you find the best targets to shoot at to get the best score. For example:
- Get a feel for the practice round, but don’t go crazy with it
- In the Hamm & Eggs game, you’ll see a horse, a chicken, and a mouse running around the barn — get all three and the barn flips over! The more times you flip it over, the more points you’ll get.
- When popping all the balloons in the dino land, a few seconds into the game you’ll see three long 500-point lava balloons fill up in front of the volcano. Pop all three, and you’ll need to work with a partner to hit the comets that appear in the corners of the screen. Hit it 3 times and you’ll unlock a ton of 500-point balloons!

There are tons of other tips we have, so check out our full post below for all the tricks you’ll need to get that high score!

Stretch Those Wrists and Hands
Now, we know this sounds a little strange, but your hands/wrists/arms will be EXHAUSTED after this game. So while you’re waiting in line, be doing some simple stretches, but nothing too strenuous or else you’ll be tired before the game even begins!

Granted, there’s not a ton of space in line, so you won’t be able to do a lot of any sort of physical activity anyway (and you really shouldn’t be anyway), but just trust us — those stretches are important!
Don’t Miss All Those Details!
The queue for Toy Story Mania is incredibly detailed, and also wildly nostalgic, we’re able to find something new pretty much every time we wait in line! And not because the queue is changing at all, but there’s just so much to look at.

You’ll find references to the Toy Story films themselves, of course, but also the toys and games you maybe played as a kid, or played with your kids as they were growing up. Boxes of the game of Life, Twister, Dominos, building blocks, and so much more.

Parts of the ceiling are a Monopoly board, y’all, I love it! I’m super excited to experience this attraction again on my upcoming trip, and let’s hope I use some of our tips to get a better score this time. As always, stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney World news!
