A new change has hit the My Disney Experience app!
Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid debuted in theaters this weekend, and there are a ton of ways to celebrate the new movie around the Disney parks! We’ve seen new merchandise, special photo ops, a brand-new meet-and-greet opportunity, and more, all themed to Disney’s latest live-action release.
Speaking of that new meet-and-greet opportunity, on May 26th, the live-action Ariel began meeting guests at Walt Disney Presents in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Since there are now two versions of Ariel available to meet in the parks, the My Disney Experience app rolled out a change to differentiate between them.
The new live-action meet-and-greet reads “Ariel (From the Live-Action Story).” This is the meet-and-greet that’s located inside Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
And the character from the animated version of the movie reads, “Ariel (From the Animated Story.” This meet-and-greet is located at Ariel’s Grotto in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom.
