We know lots of you are very excited about the new live-action Little Mermaid coming to theaters later this year.
We just saw another trailer released for the film, and the first trailer was released back in September 2022. However, this most recent trailer has already started breaking records!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the most recent trailer for the new live-action The Little Mermaid generated more than 108 million views in the first 24 hours, making it “one of the most watched trailers for any title in Disney’s growing stable of live-action reimaginings, and the biggest for a Disney live-action title since The Lion King in early 2019.”
The trailer dropped on March 12th during the Academy Awards Celebration and was introduced by Halle Bailey (Ariel) and Melissa McCarthy (Ursula).
The trailer surpassed Aladdin (106.5 million views), Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019), Mulan (2020), and Cruella (2021). Watch the newest trailer below.
