If you’re excited about the changes coming to EPCOT, we have great news!

EPCOT

The EPCOT transformation is set to be complete later this year, with new attractions and offerings opening in the fall. We’re ready to enjoy the new festival spaces and character meet and greets, but we’re probably the MOST excited about Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana!

This new walkthrough attraction is going to be located in the World Nature neighborhood of the park. It will allow guests to interact with water in an environment themed to a popular Disney film.

The inside of the attraction

We’ve been watching the construction for quite some time, but we recently spotted some updates. A few weeks ago, Disney opened up a path next to the attraction, so now you can walk past it. To keep it hidden from the public eye, there has been a LOT of new landscaping added.

You can walk very close to it now!

We also noticed more trees and shrubs throughout the inside of the attraction. It’s going to feel like you’re walking through a tropical island jungle!

So. Many. Trees.

And the details are coming in now too — check out these basket-weave coconut-shaped lights we spotted on the poles. Everything is on theme with Moana.

Little coconut details!

You can even get a pretty good view of the painted rockwork. We’re excited to see what all these features do and how you’ll be able to interact with them!

We’ll keep checking on the construction and we’ll let you know if we spot any major changes in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest updates.
