Disney offers all sorts of cool perks — one of many being special ticketed events that allow guests to experience the parks in a whole new way! No lines, no crowds, and even special snacks and nighttime spectaculars!
While some of these events are for anyone who wishes to buy a ticket — like After Hours events and the Halloween and Christmas parties — some events are specifically for exclusive Disney guests, like Disney Vacation Club members. Moonlight Magic is one of those!
These special parties returned last year after a long hiatus, and now, Moonlight Magic reservation dates have bene announced for 2023! If you’re a Disney Vacation Club member, you’re gonna want to keep reading if you want to experience Disney like you’ve likely never seen it before. These events sold out FAST last year, so you’ll want to mark your calendar now!
Moonlight Magic event registration for Disney’s Hollywood Studios will take place May 11th, 2023 and September 13th, 2023. Disney Vacation Club members with existing resort hotel reservations can register as early as April 4th, 2023. If you don’t yet have a reservation, registration will open May 3rd for the May 11th event and August 31st for the September 13th event.Â
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Moonlight Magic events will take place July 11th, 2023 and August 2nd, 2023. Early registration for those with already-existing resort hotel reservations will begin June 14th, while those without reservations can register June 21st for the July 11th event, and July 19th for the August 2nd event.Â
Last but not least, you can experience a Moonlight Magic event at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park on May 23rd, 2023 or August 23rd, 2023. Early registration for those with existing resort hotel reservations will begin April 26th, 2023. If you don’t have a reservation, you can register on May 11th, 2023 for the May 23rd event, and August 9th for the August 23rd event.Â

I think it was unfair to have both may11th and September 13th events register at the same time. We were put in a virtual queue together. I was randomly generated 9179 as my place. I was hoping to attend the may 11th as a registered guest but had to be mixed in the queue with sept13th guests also trying to register. So did September guests get ahead of may guests in this virtual queue. Called and couldn’t get an answer but if that was the case I call foul. They should have had their own registration day a month ahead like may DVC members. JMO
