Only TRUE Disney Fans Will Recognize EPCOT's Newest "Character"

It’s been busy over in EPCOT recently — and, we’re not just talking about the crowds!

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind finally opened, and we brought you along with us for all the important news from opening day, including the crowd levels, details about Genie+ (and whether you should pay to ride the attraction), and the virtual queue. And, while the grand opening of the ride marked another step forward in the EPCOT Transformation, there’s one MAJOR Disney Park throwback that you can now find wandering around…if you’re lucky, that is!

Cosmic Rewind isn’t the only new thing that you can find in the World Discovery area of the park now — iCan the Showbot can now be spotted roaming around too, you just never know exactly when! We were able to catch him on one of our recent visits out greeting guests.

If you’re not familiar with iCan the Showbot, he’s actually a Disney LEGEND (well, kind of!). Back in 2017, he could be found over in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom and now he has a new home in EPCOT.

And, what brings him back to the Disney parks after a 5-year hiatus? Well, Disney shared that iCan is “fascinated by Earth and earthlings, and wants to learn all he can about us and our culture.” For guests that means that you can spot him roaming around at random times throughout the day and stop to take a photo or chat (note that there is no set schedule that he comes out on).
