Disney+ Quietly Changes Subscriber Agreement

Sometimes, Disney chooses to quietly submit some updates to different things, such as their streaming services, but they won’t exactly tell you straight out.

Many people don’t pay much attention to these updates, even when Disney does let you know, but we’re big proponents of reading about the changes when they happen, that way you’re fully informed. Disney just went ahead and quietly made some changes to their Disney+ agreement, but what does that really mean for you? Let’s go over it!

We received an email from Disney+, letting us know that their subscriber agreement was being updated as of February 5th, 2026 for new subscribers. However, for existing subscribers, these terms won’t go into effect until March 25th, 2026.

The prior subscriber agreement was put into effect on October 17th, 2025, meaning that it’s only been about four months since it was last changed. So what has changed? Well, the good news is that after reviewing it, there’s really only a few things changing, and most of it is just adding in additional information to clarify what the agreement says. One of the changes is clarifying details regarding billing and payment processing, including defining subscription terms and billing periods, and the other is adding in information to clarify how cancellation works and when cancellation is effective. For example, take a look at Section 2B of the FORMER agreement, which talked about Subscription Billing and Auto-Renewal.

And now, take a look at the same section in the NEW agreement — more clarifying information has been added, but that’s about it. Again, the same can be said for the Cancellation section.

If you’re concerned, we highly recommend reading through the full agreement right here. If you don’t agree to the terms, you won’t be able to use the services anymore, so that may be something really important to note.
