When we’re at EPCOT, we love sitting down for a great table-service meal. After a long park day, nothing beats free refills, yummy food, and air conditioning!
But Disney quietly announced they’re temporarily closing one of our favorite sit-down restaurants at EPCOT this fall!
The Coral Reef Restaurant is a unique table-service restaurant in The Seas Pavilion at EPCOT. The Coral Reef Restaurant allows you to dine with the fishes – literally. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a breathtaking view into the Seas with Nemo and Friends aquarium, making this a unique dining experience. You can spot brown sharks, stingrays, Groupers, Tarpons, and green sea turtles while eating.
But if The Coral Reef Restaurant is on your bucket list, then we have some bad news for you. It’s temporarily closing on September 8th, 2026! Disney has stated that the restaurant will reopen later in 2026, but no exact date was specified.
The reason for the closure wasn’t specified, but it’s likely due to a new seasonal closure. The Coral Reef Restaurant isn’t too popular among EPCOT restaurants, and it recently shifted from serving lunch and dinner to dinner-only in January. The restaurant could trial-run closing seasonally in September, when park attendance drops as school is back in session.
