Do you know what stinks? (No, we’re not here to talk about that scene in It’s Tough to Be a Bug) Being let down in Disney World! If you happen to visit the parks without any prior research, you might encounter a temporary closure or refurbishment project that you weren’t expecting! Don’t set yourself up for failure; stick around for our weekly refurbishment update.

There’s always something new happening in Disney World

Planning a trip to Disney World towards the end of February? You’re in the right place! Let’s take a look at everything that will be unavailable in Disney World from February 21st to February 27th, 2022.

Magic Kingdom Refurbishments

Walt Disney World Railroad

The Walt Disney World Railroad in the Magic Kingdom has been closed for a long time, and the closure is expected to continue this week! Currently, Imagineers are working on the new TRON roller coaster, but that construction gets in the way of the railroad. (The train goes right through the construction zone, unfortunately)

While we wait for Disney to share some good news about the future of TRON: Lightcycle Run, all we can do is daydream about taking a ride on the old Disney World train!

Expedition Everest

Expedition Everest — Legend of the Forbidden Mountain in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is down for a lengthy refurbishment! Way back on January 4th, the attraction closed for a  3-month refurbishment. As we finish up the month of February, we’re one step closer to the reopening date!

You are very missed!

According to Disney, this attraction will remain closed through mid-April 2022. A few weeks ago we spotted some attraction vehicle testing, which is good news!

  1. Is the real Tangierine Cafe going to reopen in the Morocco Pavilion in Epcot? It is one of my favorite lunch locations. The current incarnation is not an adequate substitute.
