Early in the year is when we tend to see many of Disney’s water attractions close temporarily for refurbishments. After all, it can get kinda cold in Florida during the winter months.
And, if you and your family enjoy taking a break from the parks mid-day to take a dip in the pool, these closures can impact where you choose to stay. Already this year, we’ve seen multiple pools close for refurbishment, and one more will be joining the list — but not until next year.
If you’re planning a vacation for early next year, Disney already has plans to close down at least one pool for refurbishment. According to Disney’s website, the Samawati Springs Pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas — Kidani Village will be unavailable from January 2022 through April 2022.
The other pool, located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge — Jambo House will remain open during the closure, but guests will want to keep the closure in mind when planning their stay in early 2022. Maintenance work will be ongoing, but noise should only be heard from 9AM to sunset.
