As is the tradition during the winter months, we’re seeing a lot of Disney’s water attractions going under refurbishment.
The Liberty Square Riverboat is currently unavailable and the Rivers of America were drained for quite a while, although they’re now filling back up. Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is also getting some touch-ups at the moment and is expected to reopen in April. Besides these, we’ve seen several Disney Resort pools getting refurbished, and now there’s one more coming soon!
According to Disney’s website, the Hippy Dippy Pool at Disney’s Pop Century Resort will be unavailable from February 15th through early March of 2021.
The other pools at the resort will remain open during this time, but guests will want to keep the closure in mind if they’re planning a stay in late February or early March. There will be some maintenance work, but noise should only be heard from 9AM till sunset.
This pool also went under refurbishment last year, so we expect that this is just normal maintenance. If we find out otherwise, we’ll make sure to let you know!
Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest news on Disney attractions, refurbishments, and closures around the parks and resorts. We’re visiting the parks every day to bring you up-to-date coverage!
