Refurbishments and renovations are a normal part of the day-to-day operations at Disney World, but some projects can create more of an eyesore than others!
While the work is necessary to keep the parks safe and up-to-date, every once in a while a renovation comes along that we hope moves along quicker than most! Last year, the Rivers of America was drained for refurbishment work, leaving us with a less-than-pretty view.
Thanks to reader Brandon B. on Facebook, we have a great look at the Rivers of America starting to fill back up!
Slowly but surely, the water is starting to reappear in the river, so hopefully this means we can hop aboard the Liberty Square Riverboat soon!
Later in the afternoon, we got another glimpse at the work being done to refill the Rivers of America, and already in a few short hours there was more water to be seen!
At this current pace, we could potentially see the river completely refilled very soon.
The Liberty Square Riverboat as well as Tom Sawyer island were scheduled to be under refurbishment until February 28th, so hopefully this means things are moving along according to schedule!
When the river is refilled completely, it’ll bring back some of our favorite views in Magic Kingdom!
Huge thanks to Brandon B. for sending us the photos! We’ll continue to monitor the Rivers of America in the coming days and make sure you’re up to date with all the latest information!
