Be Prepared to WAIT for More Than Just Figment in EPCOT Today

Today marks the FIRST day of the EPCOT Festival of the Arts and we’ve been taking you along with us to see everything that’s happening!

Festival of the Arts

We’ve brought you a look at all the new merchandise (including a NEW Figment spirit jersey), shared all the new (and returning) eats and drinks, and even showed you just how long you’ll have to wait to acquire the very popular Figment Popcorn Bucket. But, besides having to choose which foods are worth trying, there’s one BIG obstacle that you’ll have to face if you’re visiting on a busy day!

If you’ve ever been to an EPCOT festival, you probably know that one of the highlights is the food booths that surround World Showcase. This year the Festival of the Arts features 15 booths (plus a few extras) but the opening day crowds have made for some unexpectedly long lines.

Morning crowds

For example, the line at Refreshment Port stretched far past the queue that was set up throughout the day, extending close to the Starbucks location…

…and, though you can normally count on there being a line at any Joffrey’s location in the parks, we found ourselves in a pretty long line to secure the new Cinnamon Swirl Cold Brew.

And, it wasn’t just the front of World Showcase that had long lines — almost every booth that we stopped at had people waiting beyond the ropes that were set up.

But, these lines were no comparison to the line for one SUPER popular booth — Pop Eats! This booth is home to the new Figment Popcorn Bucket and a lot of people are waiting to secure it. Throughout most of the day, the line extended past the queue…

…and up through the middle entrance to World Showcase.

The line was seriously this long!

Keep in mind that the first day of EPCOT festivals tends to attract more crowds, so you may find shorter lines if you plan a visit during the week while the festival is running. But, if you’re visiting on the weekends (especially holiday weekends) then be sure to pack your patience!

We’ll continue to bring you all the latest coverage from the festival this year, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for more!
