  1. I can remember when $1,300 would buy my whole family AP’s.
So glad I resisted the temptation to buy into the DVC program. I would feel so betrayed and taken advantage of and the recent price gouging by WDW has surely hurt DVC resale prices. I will never understand why Disney so deeply discounts AP prices (Not that any prices are truly discounts anymore) to locals who have the least travel expense and greatest ability for repeat visits compared to out of state guests who are more likely to visit for full weeks instead of crowding the parks only on weekends and be more likely to buy in park souvenirs as opposed to having access to local discount stores. Not meaning to insult Florida residents in any way, just stating my view of the situation.

  2. I’m so interested to hear if there are any Genie+ perks for passholders. Maybe they will at least allow the 20% discount?

    1. Yes. If you have not received the memo, the Walt Disney Company, is only interested in revenue and profit. They would close the entire park for a day if someone offered them more than what they take in at the gate on that day. They have zero interest in making the parks accessible to as many people as possible. Zero.

      1. Seriously, my theory is that they want to make the park less accessible because they can no longer handle the crowds that want to come to WDW.

      2. Mike, Rumor has it that they closed MK down at 4:00PM very recently for a private party with fireworks. I don’t know if any of this is true but it sounds like something they would do these days.
