Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a hot ticket! It’s so popular that Disney uses a virtual queue system to decide who gets to ride and who doesn’t.
Usually, this virtual queue fills up within minutes! Today, something really weird happened with Rise of the Resistance.
At 4:30 PM today, we could STILL grab boarding groups for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which is very very veryyyyyy unusual. The second round of boarding groups open at 1 PM every day and are usually gone in minutes.
We were able to snag a boarding group for today three and a half hours after the boarding groups opened up! And they’re still available. There were some unusually low wait times today, but this one really takes the cake.
Earlier this week, crowds were so low that Disney World opened up a stand-by line for Rise of the Resistance for the first time! We are keeping a close eye on the situation and will keep you posted.
However, Rise of the Resistance isn’t always that easy to get. Thankfully, we have a guide to getting a boarding group! Plus, there are two ways to skip the virtual queue for the ride: tour groups and the upcoming Galactic Starcruiser experience! On top of that, Rise of the Resistance was available the other day with a stand-by line after all boarding groups were called, something that never happened before!

Possibly the lack of tourists from outside the US. This is the time of year people from the UK flock to Disney.
Could it be tha the combination of Covid and the relentless money grab is finally taking a toll on attendance and occupancy rates?
