NEWS: Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Refurbishment Extended Until 2027

If you’ve been to Disney World lately, you might have noticed a few extra walls around the resort!

Disney’s Yacht Club

New lands are coming to the parks, a new hotel is under construction, and the other hotels around the property are getting a bit of a facelift. Now, Disney has confirmed that two popular hotels will be getting work done until 2027!

In case you missed it, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club hotels are undergoing refurbishment. Both resorts have been undergoing some serious exterior maintenance. Disney previously announced that construction would wrap up in October 2025, but their latest update has extended the refurbishments for over a year.

Yacht Club Construction

The shorter of the two renovations is located at Disney’s Yacht Club. On its website, Disney shared that this routine exterior maintenance has been extended through late 2026. They also stressed that the porte cochere will be closed through October 2025 (which we knew previously) and that this work might impact your views of and around the resort. Disney also shared that “While efforts will be made to minimize disruptions, construction may be noticeable during daytime hours.”

Yacht Club Construction

Over at the Beach Club, routine exterior maintenance was extended through 2027. Oof! The porte cochere will be closed through September 2025. Similar to the Yacht Club, views and sound around the resort will be impacted. Luckily, both resorts will have all of their amenities available during this extended refurbishment.

These hotels recently just wrapped up a long refurbishment of their shared pool, Stormalong Bay. In addition to these EPCOT resorts undergoing updates, the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment from January 25th, 2026, until January 31st, 2026.
